Kay and I went spotlighting at Bunyip State Park hoping to see White-throated Nightjars and Sooty Owls.

The White-throated Nightjars played ball.

The Sooty Owls didn't.

Photographs were a challenge and this grainy image of a White-throated Nightjar on the ground was taken by spotlight from a distance.

The bird is facing left. Its white throat is at the centre of the photograph.
